Monetize your MCP server

Turn any MCP server into a paid product. Cognoverge handles Stripe Connect onboarding, KYC, metering, tax computation, and weekly payouts — you set the price, we handle the plumbing. Our platform fee is a flat 5% of gross revenue. Nothing else.

How it works

The flow, end-to-end:

1. 1You enable Monetize and complete Stripe Connect onboarding.
2. 2You set a per-call price for each tool (or a flat monthly).
3. 3A caller uses an MCP client (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to call a tool for the first time. Cognoverge shows them a payment consent screen (Stripe Checkout) with your price.
4. 4Once they agree, calls are metered continuously. Cognoverge computes a running charge per identity.
5. 5At end of the caller's billing cycle, Stripe collects the charge. Failed payments trigger a grace period and eventual suspension.
6. 6Cognoverge pays you out weekly (Monday), aggregated across all your servers, net of 5%.

1. Enable Monetize

This flips the Monetize feature flag on your workspace. Nothing is billed yet — no tool has a price. You must complete Stripe onboarding next.

2. Onboard Stripe Connect

We use Stripe Connect Express — Stripe handles the KYC (identity verification), bank account collection, and 1099 issuance if required in your jurisdiction. The onboarding takes ~5 minutes.

Once Stripe returns you to the dashboard, your account is ready to receive payouts. You can start pricing tools immediately.

3. Price your tools

Prices are set per-tool. You can price some tools and leave others free (e.g. price tools/call but not tools/list).

Currency

Prices are always denominated in USD. Stripe converts at settlement into the caller's local currency and your payout currency (based on your bank account).

Minimum charge

Stripe won't process transactions under $0.50. Cognoverge accumulates smaller charges into a monthly minimum billing cycle to avoid micro-transactions.

4. Payouts

Weekly payouts land in your bank on Mondays (or the next business day). The dashboard shows next-payout, upcoming estimates, and a full history.

Tax handling

Stripe Tax is enabled on every Cognoverge Connect account.

• US sales tax: computed at checkout across all 50 states + DC.
• EU / UK VAT: collected at destination country rates.
• India GST: collected as export of service (0% GST) if you're an Indian founder selling to non-Indian callers.
• GST filings: Stripe generates quarterly reports; you or your accountant file locally.

Refunds & disputes

Refund a single call from the dashboard, or via CLI. Chargebacks are handled by Stripe's dispute flow; we surface open disputes in the dashboard.

Pricing model options

Take rate

Cognoverge takes 5% of gross revenue. There are no other fees — no per-transaction cost, no monthly platform fee for using Monetize, no minimum revenue commitment.

Stripe's standard processing fee (2.9% + 30¢ in the US) is deducted before your net. On a $10 charge:
